Kantabanji police raided a gambling den near Kadobasa village in Bolangir district and arrested 11 gamblers.
The raid exposed a large gambling den where players from Titilagarh and Kantabanji town wards were betting thousands of rupees.
Acting on a tip-off, Kantabanji police conducted a swift raid and successfully apprehended 11 individuals. Several others managed to flee the spot during the operation.
Police seized the following from the gambling den:
- 3 motorcycles and 1 scooter
- 11 mobile phones
- 3 sets of playing cards
- Rs 64,500 in cash
- One electric bulb and mats used for sitting
The raid was led by Kantabanji SDPO Laxmi Narayan Marandi and IIC Gopal Chandra Karna, along with other police personnel.
Police registered a case (427/2025) and announced that all arrested individuals will be produced in court. Among those arrested, one belongs to the Titilagarh police station area, while the rest are residents of Kantabanji town.
