Four migrant workers from Odisha, including two women, were killed, and 18 others sustained serious injuries after their bus crashed into a stationary truck in Suryapet district of Telangana on Friday.
The incident occurred on the Khammam-Suryapet National Highway during the early hours of the morning. Reports indicate that around 32 passengers were onboard when the bus, which was travelling from the Sinapali block of Nuapada district in Odisha to Hyderabad, collided with the stationary truck.
While four migrant workers, including two women, died at the scene, over 18 other passengers suffered critical injuries. The identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed. Police arrived at the location following the incident, and further details are expected to emerge.
