Jharsuguda district mourned the sudden death of senior lawyer and former Bar Association president Trinath Gual, whose body was recovered from railway tracks near the station on Tuesday morning.
Police rushed to the spot after receiving information about a body lying near the tracks. Investigators later identified the deceased as Trinath Gual, a close associate of late legislator Kishore Mohanty. The discovery shocked the legal fraternity and the wider district community.
Preliminary suspicion points to suicide, though the exact cause remains unclear. Police have launched a detailed investigation, examining all possible angles. Officers sent the body for a post-mortem to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
