Continuous heavy rainfall in southern Odisha triggered a landslide between the Maliguda and Chatriput railway stations under the Rayagada Railway Division, severely disturbing rail operations in the region.
Massive debris, including mud and boulders, slid onto the railway tracks, forcing East Coast Railway (ECoR) authorities to suspend services for clearing and track restoration work. According to an official bulletin issued by ECoR, a total of 6 trains have been fully cancelled, while 4 others will be short-terminated or short-originated at Koraput.

Partial Cancellation & Route Adjustments
Additionally, train numbers 18005/18006 and 18447/18448 will end their journeys prematurely at Koraput station. On their return legs, these services will originate directly from Koraput instead of their scheduled source stations. Consequently, rail operations for these trains will remain completely suspended on the Koraput–Jagdalpur–Koraput section.
Railway restoration crews are currently working around the clock to clear the debris and ensure the structural safety of the tracks. ECoR officials have advised all passengers to verify the status of their trains using official enquiry handles or helpline numbers before heading to stations.
