The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE), Odisha, has launched a comprehensive five-day induction training for newly appointed PGT teachers in Non-Govt.
Aided Higher Secondary Schools. Held at IMAGE, Shiripur, the program welcomed 125 educators eager to enhance their teaching craft and personal development.
The inaugural session was graced by dignitaries including Smt. Subhasree Nanda, Additional Secretary of the School & Mass Education Department, Shri Raghuram R. Iyer, Director DHSE, Smt. Sasmita Mali and Smt. Snigdha Mishra, Joint Directors, DHSE, and Shri Jitendra Nayak, Deputy Director, DHSE.
In her address, Smt. Nanda emphasised the need for continuous teacher upskilling, asserting that “skill development is the foundation for shaping a brighter future.” She encouraged educators to prioritise self-study and holistic growth.
Director Shri Raghuram R. Iyer highlighted the expanded scope of the training, now structured into four distinct phases focusing on individual enrichment, moving beyond the previously two-phase format.
