Jharsuguda: Police today arrested a fake doctor for allegedly practicing as a Child Specialist at Belpahar Stationpada near Sonu Medical Store in Jharsuguda district.
The arrested person has been identified as Ramesh Kumar Sahu from Raigarh.
Acting on reliable input, SDPO, Brajrajnagar IIC, Belpahar police, and Executive Magistrate -cum-E.O. of Belpahar Municipality conducted a raid at his clinic. However, he failed to produce any medical degree documents.
Following this, police arrested the accused and also seized a prescription pad, Signboard, and flex print written as Dr. Ramesh Kumar Sahu, MBBS, MD (Child Specialist), clinical equipment, sample medicine from his clinic.
During interrogation, he confessed that the medical certificates produced by him are forged.
A case has been registered and further investigation is underway in this regard, the police said.
