In a tragic incident, a drunk driver, identified as Rakshit Chaurasia, a law student from Varanasi, rammed his car into four pedestrians in Vadodara, Gujarat.
The accident occurred near the Karelibag area on Thursday night. Hemani Patel, who was out with her minor daughter to buy Holi colors, lost her life in the accident. Three others, including Patel’s daughter, sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital.
Chaurasia, who was driving at a speed of 120 km/h, emerged from the wrecked vehicle shouting “another round” multiple times, as captured in a disturbing video from the crash site. His co-passenger, Mit Chauhan, the car’s owner, has been arrested.
The police have analyzed CCTV footage and are conducting an investigation into the matter.
