Malkangiri: A man was killed after the car he was driving dashed into a roadside tree at Jhulanibahal under Mathli police station in Malkangiri district.
The deceased was identified as Deepak, a resident of Malkangiri town.
Reportedly, the incident took place when the driver lost control over the wheels and rammed the roadside tree. The impact of the collision was so intense that the driver died on the spot and the vehicle got badly mangled.
On receiving information, police reached the spot and recovered the body for post-mortem. Further investigation is underway into the matter, police said.
