DPIIT signed an MoU with KRAFTON India Pvt. Ltd. to support startups and strengthen India’s innovation ecosystem.
The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, partnered with the digital entertainment company to empower startups working in digital entertainment, gaming, esports, interactive media, and AI-driven technologies.
Startups will gain access to mentorship, industry insights, and curated engagement platforms. The initiative will help them achieve milestones such as Proof-of-Concept development, market access, and integration into industry ecosystems.
DPIIT and KRAFTON India plan to organise innovation challenges under the Bharat Startup Grand Challenge. The collaboration will include hackathons, workshops, and masterclasses across domains like game design, animation, immersive tech, esports management, and AI applications.
Joint Secretary Shri Sanjiv emphasised that the partnership will accelerate India’s digital and creative economy. He noted that structured industry engagement enables startups to build globally competitive solutions.
Selected startups may receive pilot collaboration opportunities and exposure to global best practices. The initiative will also enhance outreach through Startup India programmes.
Deputy Secretary Shri T. L. K. Singh and Shri Vibhor Kukreti, Head of Government Relations at KRAFTON India, signed the MoU in the presence of senior officials.
