In a fiery statement, U.S. President Donald Trump branded Iran the “loser of the Middle East” after Tehran issued a rare apology to Gulf nations, pledging not to launch strikes unless provoked. Trump claimed Iran’s surrender was the result of relentless U.S. and Israeli military pressure, which has crippled Tehran’s arsenal.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian assured neighbors that his country had no intention of invading, but Trump dismissed the apology as weakness. Reports indicate Iran’s missile attacks have dropped by 90% and drone strikes by 83%, while Israel claims to have destroyed 80% of Iran’s air defense systems.
The conflict escalated further when the U.S. torpedoed Iran’s warship IRIS Dena near Sri Lanka, killing at least 87 sailors—the first torpedo strike since World War II. Iran vowed revenge, later claiming responsibility for an attack on an American tanker in the Persian Gulf.
Trump warned that unless Iran fully surrenders, it faces “complete destruction and certain death,” predicting the regime’s collapse if hostilities continue.
