Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar continues to defy expectations at the global box office, achieving new milestones on its 32nd day of release. The spy thriller, directed by Aditya Dhar, has now become the fifth-highest-grossing Indian film of all time, with a worldwide gross of ₹1215 crore. This impressive feat comes even as the film faced its first significant drop in collections, signaling the natural slowdown after a month of strong earnings.
On its fifth Monday, Dhurandhar saw a steep 65% decline in domestic collections and over 60% drop in the overseas market. Despite this, the film still managed to gross ₹9.7 crore globally on the 32nd day, the first time it has dropped below ₹10 crore in daily earnings since its release.
A Historic Milestone for Indian Cinema
With ₹776.75 crore net (₹932 crore gross) earned in India alone, Dhurandhar has now surpassed ₹800 crore in net earnings, a landmark achievement for Bollywood films. According to Jio Studios, the film has already crossed this milestone, making it the first Indian film in history to do so.
Overseas, Dhurandhar has accumulated more than $31 million, positioning it among the top 15 highest-grossing Indian films internationally. The film is expected to surpass RRR’s ₹1230 crore gross by Wednesday, making it a strong contender for the top spots in all-time Indian film earnings.
Breaking Overseas Records
On January 5, Dhurandhar’s overseas collections reached an astounding $31.3 million. It has already surpassed the lifetime collections of massive hits like Sultan ($29.8 million) and Pushpa 2: The Rule ($31 million) in international markets. However, distributors have pointed out that the film’s overseas earnings could have been even higher if it had been released in the Middle East, one of the biggest markets for Indian cinema. Experts estimate that the film would have crossed $40 million had it been made available in that region.
About Dhurandhar

With its eye on further international records and domestic dominance, Dhurandhar continues to make waves, cementing its place as one of the biggest Bollywood successes of all time.
