The spy thriller Dhurandhar 2, starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, has achieved a remarkable milestone by crossing ₹1000 crore at the global box office within just seven days of its release.
Released on March 19, the film recorded a strong opening, bolstered by paid previews and a highly successful first weekend. It collected over ₹100 crore domestically within its first three days, contributing to a massive ₹750 crore worldwide total by the end of its opening weekend—making it one of the highest opening weekends in Indian cinema history.
Despite a slight slowdown during the weekdays, the film maintained impressive momentum. On its seventh day, it recorded a 16% dip, earning ₹47.7 crore net in India. This brought its domestic total to ₹623 crore net (₹745 crore gross). The film is expected to cross ₹700 crore net in India shortly.
Internationally, Dhurandhar 2 has also performed exceptionally well. It opened with a strong $7 million overseas debut and went on to collect over $22 million during its first weekend. By day seven, its overseas earnings reached $28.5 million (approximately ₹261 crore).
With a combined global total of ₹1006 crore, the film has officially entered the prestigious ₹1000 crore club. It also crossed the $100 million mark worldwide, becoming one of the few Indian films to achieve this feat.
Dhurandhar 2 Beats Major Box Office Records
Dhurandhar 2 is now among the fastest Indian films to reach ₹1000 crore, second only to Pushpa 2: The Rule. It has surpassed the record pace of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which achieved the milestone in nine days.
The film has also outperformed several major blockbusters in terms of speed, including RRR, KGF: Chapter 2, Kalki 2898 AD, Pathaan, and Jawan.
Industry experts predict that the film will soon surpass the lifetime global collections of some of these titles, further strengthening its blockbuster status.
