Train services under the Rayagada division of the East Coast Railway (ECoR) have been severely disrupted following a major landslide between the Maliguda and Chhattripur stations.
Prioritising passenger safety, the railway department has announced the complete cancellation of several trains, alongside partial cancellations and route modifications for others.
According to the railway division, the following key services are affected:

Complete Cancellations: The 58502 Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Passenger and the 18516 Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Express, scheduled to depart from Kirandul on October 2 and October 3, have been completely cancelled. Their return counterparts—the 58501 Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Passenger and the 18515 Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Express—will also remain cancelled on those dates.

Short-Terminations and Partial Cancellations: To manage operations safely, the 18447 Bhubaneswar-Jagdalpur Express departing from Bhubaneswar on October 1 and October 2 will be short-terminated at Koraput instead of proceeding to Jagdalpur. Similarly, its return service, the 18448 Jagdalpur-Bhubaneswar Express on October 2 and October 3, will originate from Koraput instead of Jagdalpur. Consequently, the train will remain partially cancelled between Koraput and Jagdalpur in both directions.
The East Coast Railway has expressed deep regret for the inconvenience caused to passengers due to this natural calamity. Passengers have been strongly advised to check updated train schedules and plan their journeys accordingly before heading to the stations.
