Odisha Vigilance on Friday arrested the Junior Clerk in Deogarh College for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.
The accused has been identified as Manjula Pradhan.
Pradhan was apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a former student (Complainant) to facilitate for issuance of fresh original + 2 certificates in place of the damaged original certificates of the complt and another former student of the said college.
The entire bribe amount of Rs 10,000 has been recovered from the possession of the accused and seized. Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at 2 locations of Pradhan from a DA angle.
In this connection, Rourkela Vigilance P.S. Case No.03 dtd.13-02-25, U/s.7 P.C. (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. The investigation is in progress against the accused.
