Delhi Police released a new travel advisory following the recent blast, urging passengers to plan extra time for journeys due to tightened security checks.
According to the advisory:
- Railways: Passengers should reach stations at least 1 hour before departure.
- Metro: Commuters should arrive 20 minutes before travel.
- Airport: Flyers should reach airports 3 hours before departure.
Officials explained that these measures will ensure smooth security checks, timely boarding, and help avoid last-minute inconvenience. Delhi Police requested full cooperation from passengers to maintain safe and seamless travel.
Meanwhile, traffic movement slowed at Golmohar Park due to heavy vehicle congestion. Police advised commuters to drive carefully and follow lane discipline. Traffic personnel are currently regulating the flow to ease congestion in the area.
The advisory highlights the city’s increased vigilance and preparedness to safeguard public spaces while minimising disruption for travellers.
