Prime Video has unveiled the gripping trailer of its upcoming crime thriller series Daldal, starring Bhumi Pednekar in a powerful new avatar. After generating strong anticipation with its teaser, the full trailer raises the stakes with intense visuals, psychological tension, and a dark investigative narrative.

In Daldal, Bhumi essays the role of DCP Rita Ferreira, a determined police officer tasked with tracking down a ruthless serial killer in Mumbai. As the investigation deepens, Rita is also forced to confront her own inner struggles and unresolved past, blurring the line between professional duty and personal turmoil. The trailer hints at a tense cat-and-mouse chase where the hunter may find herself increasingly vulnerable.

The series also features Samara Tijori as a sharp and persistent journalist who crosses paths with Rita during the investigation, adding another layer of complexity to the storyline. Sharing the trailer on social media, Prime Video captioned the post: “The past isn’t here to haunt, it’s here to hunt.”

Fans quickly reacted to the trailer, praising its eerie tone and layered storytelling. Several viewers said the series gave them “Dexter vibes,” while others described the preview as chilling and immersive. Bhumi Pednekar’s sister, Samiksha Pednekar, also expressed her excitement, calling the trailer “absolutely amazing.”

About the Series

Daldal is based on Vish Dhamija’s bestselling novel Bhendi Bazaar and is directed by Amrit Raj Gupta. The series is produced by Vikram Malhotra and Suresh Triveni under the banner of Abundantia Entertainment. It is created by Suresh Triveni and written by Sreekanth Agneeswaran, Rohan D’Souza, and Priya Saggi, with dialogues by Suresh Triveni and Hussain Haidry.

Alongside Bhumi Pednekar, the show stars Samara Tijori and Aditya Rawal in lead roles, with Geeta Agrawal, Chinmay Mandlekar, Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, Rahul Bhat, Sandeep Kulkarni, Jaya Bhattacharya, and others in supporting roles.

Speaking about her character, Bhumi said playing Rita Ferreira was one of the most demanding roles of her career. She described the character as ambitious, emotionally complex, and deeply human, requiring her to explore the balance between vulnerability and strength.

Daldal blends psychological intensity with edge-of-the-seat suspense and is set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video on January 30, reaching audiences across India and over 240 countries worldwide.
