To enhance the safety and skillset of the captains of the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT), Suvahak Residential Refresher Training has started in association with the State Transport Authority.
The training will take place at the HMV Driver Training Institute in Chhatia, Berhampur and Bonai. It is aimed at reinforcing essential driving skills and providing updated knowledge on key aspects of road safety.
The three-day residential refresher course will cover several critical areas to ensure that captains are equipped with the best tools for their vital roles. The topics to be covered during the training include: Defensive Driving Techniques, Road Rule Regulation, Accident Prevention Methods, Fuel-Saving Techniques, First-Aid Training, BS6 Technology and also Yoga for Driver Wellness.
Each batch will consist of 30 drivers, ensuring personalised training and attention. A total of 250 CRUT captains will attend the training in the first phase. The primary objective of this programme is to prioritise safety by upgrading the skills of CRUT drivers.
These efforts align with CRUT’s commitment to ensuring the safety of both passengers and drivers, though not
only better driving practices but also proactive health measures, such as the inclusion of Yoga in the training
