Bhubaneswar: Medicine stores in Bhubaneswar saw a huge rush as people flocked the shops out of panic amid lockdown.
Reportedly, long queues outside chemist shops were a common sight. People were resorting to panic buying medicines like antibiotics, paracetamols, and multivitamins in bulk fearing a supply shortage during the lockdown. There were long queues in front of shops with buyers not adhering to social distancing norms.
Meanwhile, the Odisha government has provided a relaxation period between 6 am to 12 pm every day to buy essential stuffs during this period.
Notably, over 1.1k COVID-19 cases were detected under Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) area on Thursday.
