Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra and Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra are on a two day assessment tour of Western Odisha districts.
The officials will be reviewing the Covid-19 situation in both Kalahandi and Nuapada districts.
The coronavirus infections are on the rise in the above mentioned districts adjoining the Chhattisgarh border. The officials are expected to make an on the ground review of the situation and formulate a counter-strategy to deal with the situation.
The CM had already said the spike in coronavirus in these districts are due to close proximity to Chhattisgarh border.
Patnaik has asked the officials to visit the western Odisha districts where there is spike in coronavirus and conduct on ground assessment.
