Bhubaneswar: Saheed Nagar Police united two lovebirds by solemnising their marriage at the police station in Bhubaneswar. The love birds have been identified as Satrupa Jena and Sagar Nayak.
As per reports, the matter came to the fore after the girl’s family lodged a missing complaint of their daughter.
Acting on the complaint police registered a case and launched a probe. During the probe, the cops came to know that Satrupa was living at her distant relative’s resident in Khurda and was in love with one Sagar. Both wanted to marry each other.
However, the girl’s family was against this relation as Sagar was not well-settled. Consequently, Satarupa eloped with Sagar.
Later police rescued them at Khandagiri area and bring them to the police station while they were going to marry each other at the Aamapoi.
As both of them were adults and the girl and the youth had informed the police that they have decided to marry, the IIC informed the matter to the girl’s family.
Later the family agreed to the marriage and the love birds solemnised marriage in the presence of the police.
