India Eyes Another Strong Start
The Indian lawn bowls team enters the tournament hoping to replicate its memorable performance from the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
In Birmingham, the women’s fours team—Lovely Choubey, Pinki, Nayanmoni Saikia and Rupa Rani Tirkey—created history by winning India’s first-ever Commonwealth Games gold medal in lawn bowls.
The men’s fours team comprising Sunil Bahadur, Chandan Singh, Navneet Singh and Dinesh Kumar also secured a silver medal, marking India’s best-ever campaign in the sport.
A 124-member Indian contingent will compete at the Glasgow Games across eight able-bodied sports and five para-sports.
