Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today inaugurated the new hospital complex of Kendrapada District Headquarters Hospital (DHH). The new DHH complex has 200 beds, a modern OPD Unit, Casualty and Trauma Care, 5 bedded Trauma ICU, Radiology, MRI CT Scan facility, Advanced OT Complex, 15 bedded SNCU with Kangaroo Maternal Care facility, 34 bedded ICU.
Addressing the public through virtual mode, the Chief Minister said that this modern hospital will play an important role in bringing about transformation in the healthcare sector in Kendrapara district. “Patients of the district no longer need to go to Cuttack or Bhubaneswar for treatment. They can get good healthcare only in their own district,” he said.
Advising the doctors and paramedics, the Chief Minister said “you should serve the patients with determination. A smile on the patient’s face and confidence in the heart will be a great reward for you and for all of us and can bring us satisfaction.”
Highlighting the health services in the state, the Chief Minister said that lakhs of people are getting quality treatment at no cost under Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana.
Attending the event, Industries Minister Pratap Keshari Deb said that Kendrapada is Biju Babu’s ‘Karmabhoomi’. The Chief Minister has a special vision for the development of Kendrapada. He said that today a new milestone has been established in the field of healthcare in Kendrapada district.
Food Supply and Consumer Welfare Minister Atanu Sabyasachi said that today is a day of pride and glory for the people of Kendrapara. The Chief Minister has sanctioned more than 100 crore rupees for the improvement of health services in the district. He has provided funds for improving the infrastructure of all health centres in the district.
Kendrapara MLA Shashibhushan Behera, in his speech, praised the Chief Minister’s vision for improving health services in Kendrapara.
Secretary to the Chief Minister (5T) V.K. Pandian coordinated the programme. District Collector Amrit Ruturaj delivered the welcome address and the CDO-cum-EO of the Zilla Parisha proposed the vote of thanks.
