The Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) is all set to host a major developmental inauguration and foundation-laying ceremony in Ghatikia tomorrow, October 13, 2026.
Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi, will grace the occasion as the chief guest to dedicate multiple infrastructure projects to the public.

The high-profile event will kick off at 11:00 AM at the Bajrangi Playground in Ghatikia, where the Chief Minister will officially open the newly built sports facility designed to foster athletic talents among local youth. Following this, at 11:30 AM at Nilakanheswar Nivas, CM Majhi will inaugurate the Sasstha Awas affordable housing project and lay the foundation stone for a new Rental Housing initiative. This segment of the program will also feature the distribution of welfare benefits to eligible beneficiaries, reinforcing the state’s focus on inclusive urban growth.
The grand ceremony will witness the presence of several prominent leaders, including Dr Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, Minister of Housing & Urban Development and BDA Chairman; Smt. Aparajita Sarangi, Member of Parliament for Bhubaneswar; and Shri Babu Singh, MLA for Ekamra-Bhubaneswar. The BDA has extended a warm invitation to all media representatives to cover the event and ensure widespread public outreach for these transformative urban initiatives.
