Jharsuguda: The childline officials have rescued a helpless twin brother-sister duo from the Brajrajnagar area in Jharsuguda district on Wednesday.
As per reports, with the help of the district administration, the childline rescued the seven-year-old twins after, the district child protection officer, Sunanda Maharana informed the district childline coordinator about them.
After the rescue, the duo underwent COVID-19 test and was shifted to child care institutions under the instruction of the Child Welfare Committee, Childline coordinator, after the report came negative.
The administration would bear all the responsibilities and expenses of the helpless children, chairman of the Child Welfare Committee, Anandini Padhi said.
The father of the twins died two years ago while her mother breathed her last breath at a COVID hospital in Mangal Bazar on May 23, DCPO Sunanda Maharana informed.
