Chaos at Vancouver Festival: Car Rams Crowd, Many Killed

Tragedy struck at a vibrant street festival in Vancouver, Canada, as a car drove into a crowd, resulting in multiple fatalities and several injuries.


According to the Vancouver Police Department, the incident occurred around 8 p.m. near E. 41st Avenue and Fraser Street.

Law enforcement officials have confirmed that the driver responsible for the incident has been taken into custody. Speaking through social media, the Vancouver Police stated, “A number of people have been killed and multiple others are injured after a driver drove into a crowd at a street festival. The driver is in custody. We will provide more information as the investigation unfolds.”

The festival, which was meant to be a celebration of community and culture, turned into a scene of chaos and heartbreak. Emergency responders were quick to the scene, attending to victims and securing the area. The Vancouver Police Department has assured the public that a thorough investigation is underway and more details will be provided as they emerge.

Authorities are urging any witnesses or individuals with relevant information to come forward to aid the ongoing investigation. The incident serves as a grim reminder of the importance of vigilance during public events.
