The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a significant change in its post-result grievance redressal mechanism for Class X and XII students.
Starting with the 2025 results, students must first obtain photocopies of their evaluated answer sheets before applying for mark verification or re-evaluation.
The revision aims to increase clarity in the evaluation process, enabling students to review their answer sheets, understand the marking system, and identify discrepancies before making an official request for mark verification or re-evaluation.
Previously, the process required students to first apply for verification of marks, followed by obtaining a photocopy of their evaluated answer book, and finally proceeding with re-evaluation. The updated structure prioritises access to answer sheets first, ensuring students can make more informed decisions.
With direct access to their graded answer sheets, students can check for missed evaluations, totalling errors, or any overlooked answers before deciding on further steps. CBSE hopes this measure will reduce unnecessary verification requests and streamline the process.
CBSE has confirmed that further details, including application guidelines, fees, and deadlines, will be released after the official announcement of results. The 2025 CBSE Class X and XII results are expected between May 7 and May 12, 2025.
Students can check their results by visiting the CBSE official website at and entering their roll number, school number, and admit card ID.
