The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed Class 12 board exams in several Middle East countries until March 16, 2026, citing the current situation and student stress.
On March 9, CBSE issued a notification via its official social media handle, confirming the postponement of exams originally scheduled for March 12. The board advised students to consult the official circular for updated dates and guidelines.
The postponement applies to Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. CBSE will review the situation on March 14 before announcing new dates for examinations scheduled after March 16.
All CBSE board examinations continue in the traditional pen‑and‑paper format, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at designated centres. Students are advised to stay updated through the official CBSE website and follow instructions issued by the Controller of Examinations, Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj.
