Vehicular movement along the key Burukhat route connecting to the historic and scenic Mahendragiri shrine has been fully restored following the rapid removal of landslide debris, administrative officials confirmed.
Heavy rainfall over the region had triggered mudslides and dislodged large boulders onto the ghat road, causing severe disruptions to local transit and posing potential hazards to commuters.
Taking immediate action, local authorities and department personnel deployed heavy machinery to clear the fallen rocks and mud from the road stretch. The emergency response ensured that the critical route was cleared of all blockages and rendered completely safe for traffic within a short timeframe.
With the completion of debris removal and safety assessments, regular vehicular movement to the revered pilgrimage and tourist destination has resumed seamlessly.
Administrative officials continue to monitor vulnerable ghat sections across the district to prevent potential hazards amid ongoing seasonal weather patterns.
