Promoting his solo album Echo, BTS’ Seokjin (Jin) made a memorable return to the spotlight with a stunning live performance and a comedic takeover on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on May 21.

Performing the emotional title track “Don’t Say You Love Me,” Jin turned the stage into a surreal, oversized bedscape. Bathed in warm lights and backed by a live band, the performance captured the aching vulnerability of a relationship on the brink. The intimate setting mirrored the song’s heartfelt lyrics, and the emotional delivery had the audience erupting in applause.

After the performance, Jin’s signature humor and charm took center stage during the interview. In a hilarious twist, he hopped behind Jimmy Fallon’s desk, playfully taking over as host. He asked Jimmy cheeky questions like:

“You’ve been doing this for a long time; what’s it like being number one?”

“Are you a superstar?”

Jimmy gamely played along, replying, “Not as big as you,” and even flashed Jin’s Echo album cover to the camera.

But the biggest laugh of the night came when Jin asked:
“Do we have one butt or two?”
With perfect comic timing, he argued, “There’s a left side and a right side — so two!”
The audience howled in laughter, and Jimmy could only shake his head in amused disbelief.

Whether it was tugging at heartstrings with his soulful performance or sparking laughs with his offbeat humor, Jin reminded everyone why he’s truly a superstar — and Echo is already shaping up to be a fan favorite.
