Balasore: Cracking down a major whip against drug peddling, Police officials on Wednesday apprehended two smugglers in Balasore district and seized 300 grams of brown sugar from their possessions.
Based on an intelligence input, the team of cops conducted a raid at Ambilatha chhak in the district and seized the contraband worth over Rs. 30 lakhs.
The accused have been taken into custody. A case under sections of NDPS Act 1985 has been registered in the police station against the two smugglers.
