Balasore: Cracking down a major whip against drug peddling, Police officials on Wednesday apprehended a smuggler in Balasore district and seized 300 gms of brown sugar from his possession.
Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid in Jhadeswarpur area under Jaleswar police station and seized the brown sugar worth over Rs. 30 lakhs.
The accused was taken into custody. A case has been registered under sections of NDPS Act 1985 against the accused in the police station.
