Security forces rushed into action after bomb threats were issued to Anugola and Sambalpur district courts through emails warning of explosions.
In Anugola, the threat mail prompted immediate evacuation of the court premises. Bomb and dog squads were deployed to comb the area thoroughly. Similarly, in Sambalpur, a threatening email reached the registrar’s office, triggering panic. Police and bomb disposal teams swiftly cordoned off the campus and launched a search operation.
Authorities confirmed that both court complexes were vacated as precautionary measures while intensive checks continued. Investigators are working to trace the origin of the emails and identify those behind the threats.
