Malkangiri: Two persons went missing after a country-made boat ferrying them capsized in Balimela reservoir in Swabhiman Anchal of Chitrakonda block in Malkangiri district on Monday.
According to reports, three persons were returning to their native village from Naringajhola Haat when the boat capsized near Orapadar ghat under Andrapali panchayat in this district.
While one person managed to swim ashore, two others went missing in the deep water, sources said.
A rescue and search operation has been launched by the locals and Jodamba police to trace the two missing persons, added sources.
