Police recovered the blood-soaked body of a youth from a studio in Sobara locality under Jajpur Road police limits late on Saturday night.
The deceased has been identified as Deepak Kumar Sahoo, the owner of OM Digital Film Studio. According to reports, Deepak had dinner at home and then arrived at the studio around 11 PM on Saturday to sleep.
His family members noted that his mobile phone was switched off that night. On Sunday morning, when his mother came to the studio to bring him a cup of tea, she discovered his body lying in a pool of blood on the floor.
Upon receiving the information, the police, assisted by a scientific team and a dog unit, began their investigation at the crime scene. They found that all items including computers and cameras were missing from the studio. The police suspect that the assailants fled the scene after killing Deepak late the previous night.
