The Temple City of Odisha, Bhiubaneswar, is set to enhance its air connectivity with new direct flights to Ghaziabad (Hindon) and Port Blair, starting March 30, 2025.

Chief Minister Mohan Majhi announced the new routes on Wednesday, highlighting the state’s push for better tourism, trade, and seamless connectivity under the New Destination Policy.

The new routes will be operated by Air India Express, offering daily flights from Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) to both Ghaziabad and Port Blair, with return services the same day.

Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Odisha Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) celebrated the announcement as an “Aviation Bonanza for Bhubaneswar.” The CMO also emphasized the move as a step forward in realizing the vision of “Viksit Odisha,” driving economic growth and enriching cultural exchanges.
