The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) doubled match fees for women cricketers and officials in domestic cricket after India’s maiden ODI World Cup triumph.
The Apex Council approved the hike to ensure fairer compensation and stronger financial security across the domestic circuit.
Senior women cricketers now earn between Rs 50,000 and Rs 60,000 per day, compared to the earlier Rs 20,000. Reserves receive Rs 25,000 per day. In national T20 tournaments, first XI players earn Rs 25,000 per match day, while reserves receive Rs 12,500. A top domestic player featuring across formats can earn between Rs 12 lakh and Rs 14 lakh in a full season.
Junior women cricketers also benefit from the revised structure. Players in the Under-23 and Under-19 categories earn Rs 25,000 per day, with reserves receiving Rs 12,500. This change highlights BCCI’s commitment to nurturing talent at every level.
Match officials gain significant increases as well. Umpires and referees earn Rs 40,000 per day for league matches. Knockout fixtures bring Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000 per day. Umpires officiating Ranji Trophy league matches now earn around Rs 1.60 lakh per game, while knockout matches fetch between Rs 2.5 lakh and Rs 3 lakh.
