Bargarh Youth Earns India Book of Records Recognition for Social Service

Subhendu Shekhar Guru, a 20-year-old from Bijepur in Bargarh district, secured a place in the India Book of Records as the Youngest Board of Trustees of Ratnavi Foundation.


His achievement brought pride to Bijepur and western Odisha.

Son of Rabinarayan Guru, Shubhendu has been known as a meritorious student since childhood. He scored 95.83% in Class 10 at Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Bijepur, and later passed Plus Two with first division from Bikash Higher Secondary School. He is currently pursuing studies at Physics Wallah Institute.

Ratnavi Foundation works across ten districts of western Odisha in education, healthcare, women empowerment, youth awareness, and support for the poor and underprivileged. Its initiatives to uplift marginalised communities have earned wide appreciation.

Shubhendu said he aims to strengthen rural education and healthcare in the coming years, dedicating his efforts to improving the lives of people in villages.
