Polasara: The field officer of the Bank of India’s Polasara branch, Sudhanshu Shubhankar Das (30) was found hanging inside his rented house on Wednesday morning.
According to sources, Sudhanshu returned to his rented house near the Science College at around 7 pm on Tuesday. And at night he had dinner at his friend Pushpa Das’ house.
Pushpa Das said that his mental condition was not good at that time.
Despite repeated phone calls in the morning, Sudhanshu did not pick up the phone and Das went to his rented house to check. However, he Sudhanshu was found hanging with a towel tied around his neck.
On intimation, the police arrived at the scene, recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem.
Sudhanshu is a native of Krushnasharanpur Sasan near Buguda of Ganjam district.
Even though no suicide note was found, Sudhanshu has mentioned in his personal diary that “no one is responsible for his death”, police source said.
Police have registered a case of unnatural death and are investigating the incident.
