A fatal workplace accident occurred on the outskirts of Bangomunda in Odisha’s Balangir district, resulting in the death of a construction worker.

The deceased has been identified as a resident of neighbouring Burobahal village.

The incident took place at the site of an under-construction four-story hotel along the Kantabanji-Bangomunda road. According to reports, the worker sustained fatal injuries during construction activities at the multi-story structure.

Local authorities arrived at the scene shortly after receiving information to secure the area and handle procedural formalities. • A customer at Regal Food Park in Infocity, Patia, allegedly found insects in the cauliflower served in a vegetable curry. When the customer raised the issue, the restaurant representative reportedly responded dismissively, asking how they could be expected to spot insects inside a cauliflower and stating that nothing could be done.
Despite the complaint, the customer and his friends were required to pay the entire bill. The incident raises serious concerns about food hygiene and the restaurant’s handling of customer complaints.
