The Odisha government has reinforced its commitment to housing security for underprivileged families through the Antyodaya Housing Scheme.
Panchayati Raj Minister Rabi Narayan Naik recently announced that families left out of other government housing schemes will now receive homes under this initiative.
Addressing the press, Naik stated, “In the first phase, nearly 60,000 houses have already been distributed. The list for the next phase is being prepared, and the process will be completed within two months. Post-monsoon, the second phase of house distribution will commence.”
The Antyodaya Housing Scheme aims to provide shelter to economically weaker sections by ensuring financial assistance for permanent homes. As the monsoon recedes, eligible families can expect to receive homes, fulfilling the government’s objective of inclusive growth and development.
