A young motorcyclist sustained critical injuries after an alleged collision with an Ama Bus near Shreya Chhak in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday. The incident has once again brought attention to road safety concerns involving public transport vehicles in the Odisha capital.

According to preliminary reports, the accident occurred when an Ama Bus reportedly struck a motorcycle near the busy Shreya Chhak area. The impact of the collision left the rider seriously injured.

Injured Rider Shifted to Capital Hospital

Local residents and emergency responders rushed to the spot soon after the accident. The injured youth was rescued and taken to Capital Hospital for immediate medical treatment.

Hospital sources said the rider was admitted in critical condition and is currently undergoing treatment.

Police Seize Bus, Investigation Underway

Police personnel reached the accident site and began an investigation into the circumstances that led to the collision. Authorities have seized the Ama Bus involved in the accident as part of the inquiry.

Officials have not yet confirmed the exact cause of the crash. Investigators are examining evidence and gathering statements to establish how the incident occurred and determine responsibility.

Road Safety Concerns Resurface

The latest accident has renewed concerns about road safety in Bhubaneswar. Similar incidents involving Ama Bus services have been reported in the past, prompting calls for stricter adherence to traffic rules and safer driving practices.

Road safety experts and citizens have repeatedly emphasized the importance of caution by both public transport operators and other road users, especially on busy city roads.

As the investigation continues, authorities are expected to release further details regarding the accident.
