Actor and producer Alia Bhatt has expanded the creative slate of her production house Eternal Sunshine Productions by launching “Eternal Kids,” a new initiative dedicated to children’s storytelling.
The announcement came on Bhatt’s 33rd birthday, with the actor sharing the news on social media. She revealed that the new vertical will focus on imaginative and heartfelt stories for children.
“Our production company, Eternal Sunshine, just had a baby — say hello to Eternal Kids. We have three exciting projects lined up already,” she wrote.
Stories Inspired by Family Memories
One of the first projects under Eternal Kids is titled “There’s C and G and M,” inspired by stories created by Bhatt’s grandfather.
The actor shared that these tales were an important part of her childhood and were something she and her sister Shaheen Bhatt grew up listening to.
“Shaheen and I grew up on these stories, and now we are thrilled to bring them to you,” Bhatt wrote while remembering her grandfather.
‘OOLANGOO’ and ‘Ed-a-Mamma’ Adventures
Another project announced under the banner is “OOLANGOO,” a story about a mysterious creature.
Bhatt revealed that the character was so unique that her mother had to invent a new word for it while narrating the story during her childhood. The story itself was written by her mother.
The third project will expand the world of “Adventures of Ed-a-Mamma,” inspired by Bhatt’s sustainable kidswear brand Ed-a-Mamma. The production house plans to turn it into a series along with additional books in the future.
Heartfelt Vision Behind Eternal Kids
Introducing the new venture, Bhatt described the creative vision behind Eternal Kids in an emotional note.
“Introducing Eternal Kids. Where the childhood we remember meets the child still living quietly inside us.”
Fans quickly reacted to the announcement with enthusiastic comments and birthday wishes for the actor.
Other Projects in the Pipeline
Apart from this initiative, Bhatt and her sister Shaheen are also working on a Amazon Prime Video original film titled Don’t Be Shy.
The film, directed by Sreeti Mukeri, follows the story of Shyamili “Shy” Das, a 20-year-old whose carefully planned life begins to spiral after unexpected events.
Upcoming Film ‘Alpha’
Meanwhile, Bhatt is also preparing for the release of her upcoming film Alpha, which is the seventh instalment in the YRF Spy Universe.
The film also stars Sharvari, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol, and is directed by Shiv Rawail.
“Alpha” is scheduled to release in theatres on July 10.
