Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has launched a scathing attack on the Delhi Police following his release from preventive detention, accusing law enforcement of severe mistreatment, denial of basic rights, and lack of humanity following his grandmother’s death.
Speaking to reporters in Nagpur, Dipke countered claims made by the Delhi Police, alleging that officers refused to hand over his mobile phone when he sought to retrieve his cousin’s phone number to inquire about his grandmother’s passing.
He further stated that authorities denied him his statutory right to contact his lawyer. Dipke also questioned the police’s decision to wake him at 3:30 AM to call his parents regarding his arrest, calling it deliberate harassment aimed at shocking his already grieving family.
Calling police personnel “goons in uniform,” Dipke asserted that he signed no bond and vowed to return to the streets to protest against the government.
His statement directly contradicts video footage released earlier by the Delhi Police, in which officials claimed Dipke was offered flight arrangements, phone calls, and humanitarian support to attend the funeral, all of which he reportedly declined.
The political confrontation follows Dipke’s preventive arrest alongside other CJP leaders ahead of a planned rally in the national capital.
