In a strict message against corruption, Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan has ordered the immediate suspension of Marketing Officer Anurag following bribery allegations in Madhya Pradesh’s Sehore district.
According to sources, the marketing officer allegedly demanded bribes during an inspection of two local warehouses in exchange for releasing government subsidy amounts. Allegations state that Rs 1 lakh was demanded from Shivay Warehouse located in Bhairunda tehsil, while Rs 60,000 was sought from Krishna Warehouse in Beherakhedi village under the Rehti area.
Upon receiving the complaint, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan took serious note of the matter and directed immediate disciplinary action, leading to the officer’s prompt suspension.
Reiterating its commitment to transparency, the Ministry emphasized that any complaints regarding irregularities, corruption, or bribery in official processes affecting farmers and warehouse operators will be dealt with strictly and without delay.
