Tension gripped Jamtoli basti in Raurkela after a violent group clash led to a coordinated attack on a youth and damage to a car.
The incident sparked chaos in the locality, prompting swift police intervention.
According to reports, a group of assailants allegedly launched a deadly assault on the victim, leaving him seriously injured. They also vandalised a car during the attack. Following the incident, Sector-7 police detained 36 youths for questioning.
Police sources said the detainees are being interrogated to identify others involved in the assault. A search operation has been launched to trace additional suspects. Authorities are also investigating the motive behind the attack, including possible links to local disputes.
