The Government of Odisha has posted nine Indian Administrative Service officers of the 2024 Regular Recruit batch as Sub-Collectors.
The officers, who have returned after completing Phase-II training, will also serve as Sub-Divisional Magistrates in their assigned areas.
The General Administration and Public Grievance Department issued the notification, marking the officers’ first independent field assignments. Under Section 14(4) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, each officer has been designated SDM of their respective sub-division.
The postings span several districts and include both interior and strategically important sub-divisions.
Animesh Pradhan has been appointed Sub-Collector and SDM of Athagada in Kataka district. Prajnanandan Giri takes charge at Talcher in Anugola. Kasturi Sha has been posted to Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi, while Fabi Rasheed will serve in Koraput.
