Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, marked a significant milestone in Bihar’s development by inaugurating and laying the foundation stones for multiple projects worth Rs 800 crore in Patna.
The event witnessed the unveiling of initiatives aimed at transforming the cooperative sector and boosting infrastructure development, including agriculture, food storage, roads, police buildings, and drinking water supply.
In his address, Shri Amit Shah underscored the Modi government’s commitment to reinvigorating Bihar’s cooperative sector. Notable efforts include plans to restart 30 closed sugar mills and enhance Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), along with initiatives to support maize farmers and revive the Maize Research Centre.
Highlighting Bihar’s agricultural potential, Shri Shah emphasized the state’s leadership in crops like litchi, maize, mushroom, and makhana. He assured comprehensive plans to harness these resources fully. The inauguration of projects under the world’s largest food storage scheme and modern police facilities further demonstrated the commitment to progress.
He criticized opposition governments for neglect, corruption, and mismanagement, referring to their tenure as the “Jungle Raj” era. Amit Shah asserted that with the Modi government’s efforts, the state is on the path to recovery and significant progress.
