In the continuing vigilance action against Assistant Drugs Controller/Drugs Inspector Sanjaya Kumar Hansdah, additional unaccounted cash of Rs 1,78,700 has been seized.
Officials said the recovery includes Rs 1,25,200 from his Jagatsinghpur office and Rs 53,500 from his personal possession, both unaccounted. This follows the earlier trap case registered against Hansdah for allegedly accepting a Rs 6,000 bribe to facilitate issuance of a wholesale medicine licence.
With the latest recovery, the total cash seizure now stands at Rs 1,78,700. Searches are still underway, and vigilance sources confirmed that further details will be reported after completion of the operation.
