Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday extended his warm wishes to the nation on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, expressing hope that the festival would strengthen the values of hope, harmony, and kindness in society.

Taking to social media, PM Modi wrote, “Greetings on Eid-ul-Fitr. May this festival enhance the spirit of hope, harmony, and kindness in our society. May there be joy and success in all your endeavors. Eid Mubarak!”

The festival, marking the culmination of Ramzan, was celebrated across India and the world with great enthusiasm. It is a time of joy, generosity, and unity, as people gather to share meals, exchange gifts, and offer prayers for peace and well-being.

Earlier in the day, President Droupadi Murmu also conveyed her greetings, emphasizing the festival’s role in strengthening brotherhood, compassion, and charity. She posted on social media platform X, saying, “Greetings to all countrymen, especially Muslim brothers and sisters, on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. This festival strengthens the feeling of brotherhood and gives the message of adopting compassion and charity. May it bring peace, prosperity, and happiness to all.”

Several political leaders echoed similar sentiments. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh extended his wishes, stating, “Hope this day further strengthens the bonds of harmony and brotherhood across society. Eid Mubarak!”

The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, also sent greetings, highlighting how Eid promotes social unity and mutual respect. His office posted, “This festival strengthens harmony and social cohesion. On this occasion, everyone should take a pledge to foster peace and goodwill.”

As millions came together to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, the occasion was marked by prayers, feasts, and acts of charity, reinforcing the values of compassion, unity, and hope.
