The Land Allotment Committee (LAC) of Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO), chaired by ACS & IDCO Chairperson Usha Padhee, has approved 37 project proposals at its meeting on September 2, 2026.
The approvals include 24 land proposals for large industrial projects and 13 proposals for MSMEs, aimed at accelerating project implementation, generating employment, and reinforcing regional supply‑chain ecosystems.
The move highlights IDCO’s commitment to time‑bound decision‑making, responsive land administration, and investor facilitation, creating a predictable environment for industries.
Complementing faster clearances, IDCO has intensified field‑level inspections across Khordha, Kataka, and Kalinga Nagar, assessing infrastructure readiness, connectivity, power and water supply, and worker‑centric facilities. Special focus is being placed on safe, accessible infrastructure for women employees in manufacturing clusters.
This twin strategy—speedy statutory approvals and rigorous ground monitoring—is designed to ensure that allotted land translates into productive investments, job creation, and sustainable economic activity.
With these approvals, Odisha strengthens its position as an agile, competitive, and investor‑ready industrial destination, supporting both large‑scale investments and MSME growth while fostering inclusive and regionally balanced development.
